I wanted to report back on the weekend - thank you to everyone who came down to see us and especially all of you who bought our products and who gave us such wonderful feedback! This is an email we received from Emma
"Hi ladies Having bought your lemongrass & neroli hand cream on the south bank the other day-I have managed to keep it closed for 5 days before giving in to temptation to smell it again!My purpose was for taking it to work & keeping it my treatment room- but then I thought I cant trust my fellow work colleagues with it as we move about so much! Any chance you can do it in a portable tube- to be kept in a bag?? I would love to have it on me to uplift me on my long tube journey home?? Keep up the good work. Emma."

Rosie and myself had a very busy weekend but nonetheless enjoyed meeting everyone, hello to Norah who shared some wine and laughs with us. Saturday was a lovely warm an sunny day however, Sunday was quite cold by the river.

Summer Skin
Summer is approaching (hopefully) and our beauty focus turns to protection and getting ready for the sun. The choice of suncare is vast but there's a hot debate brewing over ingredients and possible side-effects.
We love the sun and our love affair with the sun lounger is not about to end so everyone wants to find a safe place to bask. The issue of sunscreen ingredients is a complex (and pretty scientific) one but if you've ever suffered from prickly heat, sensitised skin or clogged pores we should make note that chemical sunscreens absorb UV rays whereas mineral ones reflect them. Therefore many heavily-used chemical ingredients actually cause and increase free radical damage in the skin. Mineral sunscreens like zinc oxide and titinium dioxide do not have this issue.
Experts are now trying to understand what the long-term effects of sun rays combined with synthetic chemicals are - do they cause free radical damage? I will endeavour to bring to you any up-to-date information on the issue ...oh, and don't forget your sun hat!

Breathing Space for Women who like to be.....

| Make a Smilebox photobook Surlingham Manor - What a Weekend! Breathing Space put on a Women Only Weekend that proved to be a delight to all who attended. Sorrells Naturally products were displayed and a free gift given to all guests to use in the luxuriously appointed bathrooms of the Manor House. There was such a wonderful buzz about the whole weekend. Veena from www.Inspiredotcom.com was on hand to provide inspiration to anyone who wished. There were Yoga taster classes, EFT and NLP discussion events along with a demonstration of Thai Massage from Jenny. The Food, well what can I say about the food - I know everything was carefully planned down to the last detail even the eggs were collected fresh on the day from a local farm. The Fish Pie was superlative and my personal favourite was the Ginger Cheesecake which was out of this world! We had Bucks Fizz at lunch time on Saturday which all added to the flavour of luxury with no pretentionswhatsoever. The Feedback I know has been wonderful generally, here is a comment from Fiona: "Your products smell divine & as soon as I got back home I lept in the shower & covered my self in the body scrub & as everyone had promised it did leave me soft & silky & feeling all pampered. The pomegranate serum is becoming a favourite as is everything else I bought. I can see me becoming hooked on the whole range…" Favourites of the products were the Pomegranate Cream andPomegranate Serum which sold out over the weekend, also theLemongrass & Neroli Sugar Scrub, Lemongrass & Neroli Hand Washand Hand & Body Lotions. Firming & Toning Body Butter as it's essential now that we have some good weather to keep our skin in good condition and this will involve regularly exfoliating and reconditioning the skin, though I have to say that our Organic Sugar Scrubs do fulfill both these requirements in one go and leave you with a wonderful and refreshing scent as well! |
